Fashion is never ending. Trends may come and go but style is something that is ever evolving and developing. It can be interpreted in infinite ways, which is what makes it so interesting to follow. It is so refreshing to see others impression of fashion or styles as compared to your own, as well as to be able to share and influence others with your style. We often don't realise how much we are influenced by the most simple things in our lives. This is what contributes to each and every person's individual style. I'll take a minute to share with you whats inspiring me at the moment

Winter has well and truely hit Melbourne and for many of us that means lighting the fire, grabbing our extra wooly socks and biggest of knits, a steaming hot cup of herbel tea (or coffee!) to keep away the icy winter chills! Here's some fashion bits and bobs that'll be sure to heat things up!

BEAUTIFUL DREAMER

One of the greatest things about fashion I think, is it's ability to carry your mind into a dream-state, anywhere, anytime. I'm sure many of you fashion-savy readers would agree with me when I say there is something so blissful about letting your mind get carried away by the beauty and exquisiteness of the most stunning pieces, to a world where no barriers exist between us and our most lusted over things. There is something magnificent about designer pieces, that for most of us can only be dreamed of, that allows our imaginations to slip in and out of a world where the unattainable suddenly becomes easily accessible.

WINTER WONDERLAND

Just a little chronicle of things that take me away to a winter wonderland! - fur, leather, thigh high boots, cosy tees, snuggly sweaters, berry-coloured, lips, messy hair, beanies, jackets, big dark sunglasses, tight hairbuns and teaming lots of black and grey!

Winter is certainly my LEAST favourite time of year weather-wise, but these delicious winter inspired outfits and inspirations are sure to heat things up!!

This outfit is perfection to me! The silhouette is simply stunning, so sleek and classy teaming black with black!

STYLED BY ME: OUT ON THE TOWN

Another quick little throw together outfit, styled by me, inspired by some friday night drinks, or perfect for a dinner or birthday party! I am so into pants right now! - and a fabulous, flattering pair such as these amazing 'The Wind Blows' wide legs by Sass and Bide are just one of my need-right-now items! Venturing out on these icy nights can sometimes be too daunting with the thought of wearing a little dress or skirt, so the perfect solution is to opt for a great pair of pants. Teamed here with some more Sass and Bide goodies the 'Play on Bra', 'Match Point Tank' and the AMAZING 'Taste of Sugar' leather belt. Your favourite pair of strappy heels, a fur coat or shawl, a statement cuff and slick of red wine coloured lipstick and you're ready to hit the town!

INSPIRATION: WHITE OUT

On the opposite end of the fashion spectrum, following my first inspiration board theme of 'Black', my other all time favourite is WHITE. White on white outfits work for me at any time of the year! There is something so refreshing about the crisp, modernisitc touch of an all white outfit. Of course there is method to madness when putting together white pieces, I think the most important things to keep in mind is simplicty; keeping the silhouettes clean and not too busy, you want the focus to be on the overall look, this also applies to accessories, keep you colour palette neutral with white or nude leather colours for shoes and handbags, minimal jewellery and finish with something like a gorgeous bronzed smokey eye or a bold red lip; mix up textures; whites always work well when there is a subtle mix of textures, white leather against a gorgeous white tweed or silk, white mesh teamed with a solid white cotton gives a sports-luxe look and snow-coloured wool and cotton knits/jersey with silk is another favourite, last but not least; be confident! The thought of all white may scare some people but the truth is, if you are confident in it you will always pull it off!!

I absolutely love these two NICHOLAS pieces! I spied them at Green With Envy a little while ago and have had my eye on them ever since. The high neck line of the top a long with the angled hemline of the skirt gives it such a contempory edge! I would be teaming this outfit with a cool pair of white luxe-leather shoes!

These White 'BOULEVARD' wedges by 'DANNIKA ZEN' are another item I am SO in love with right now!

Still obsessing over this WHITE quilted vest by Cameo The Label. I am SO looking forward to styling mine and sharing with you all! stayed tuned as my outfits with this super trendy style will be coming very soon!

WOW. I am LOVING this Chloe cropped sweater! The style is A-MAZ-ING. I love the bold and dramatic structure of its silhouette! Such a beautiful statement piece.

WHITE OUTFIT INSPIRATION:STYLED BY ME

Just a little throw together outfit inspiration for my white theme post. Here I have matched these gorgeous white silk 'The Wind Blows' pants by Sass and Bide, with a simple white long sleeve tee (also by Sass and Bide) and some classic nude leather pumps by Alexander Wang, and for the arm candy, couldn't go past the infamous 'Givenchy - Antigona' bag in nude. Clean and simple yet contempory and fresh!

OUTFIT PLANS:STYLED BY ME

As you will come to learn, I'm the sort of person who, when I find a new piece that I absolutely love, I simultaneously begin to imagine it as a whole outfit in my head! What I would wear it with that I already have in my wardrobe, and even what I would style it with that maybe I dont even own yet (but often end up hunting down soon after! hehe). Here is two of my recently put together outfits, and how I would wear some of these current season items:

Sass and Bide: Far and Away Pants

These HOT new sweatpants from S&B's most recent collection are super cool! I am definitely a lover of the 'dressed-up-casual-pants' style. In super comfy grey marle cotton, the white wooden beading detail along the sides and pocket lines gives these 'basically-trackie-pants' have some serious edge! I love Sass and Bide's detailing! For a warm and cosy yet cool-casual style I've teamed them with a basic black turtle neck skivy (which you can get from basically any brand that does good knitwear/winter staple items), my rabbit fur vest, for extra warmth on these looming chilly winter days! and a super cool pair of edgy heels, here I have chosen an older season style 'Danica' heel by Alexander Wang, but I think any kind of sport-luxe inspired heel would work too :) - Stay tuned for my outfit post with these Sass and Bide pants coming soon!

I am smitten with these heels! I have literally worn them every second day since getting them! I have styled them here with three other items that I have recently discovered and absolutely love (and need to invest in my wardrobe!!) This amazing neoprene style sweater by SECRET SOUTH label, Sass and Bide's AMAZING silk organza 'His Kingdom' Skirt and this simply gorgeous leather clutch from Pierre Hardy which I recently spied at GREEN WITH ENVY Boutique. Just in keeping with my blog-kick-off-theme of BLACK they all match perfectly! Sometimes an all black outfit on its own with minimal accessories can make the statement itself! I think some suttle set-offs such as a bold red lipstick, or matt white nail polish would be perfect to complete this! 

STYLE LUSTING:

Just a few things that I am lusting over right now :)

These Winston Wolfe leather heels! As seen on the gorgeous Elle ferguson from TheyAllHateUs (amazing fashion from these girls!), these are actaully to die for! This style is so hot right now and looks amazing with both bare legs (little pair of shorts or my favourite Zara wrap Skort in black I'm thinking!) as well as with pants. I (and I'm sure many others!) are counting down the days until these bad boys are available to pre order! Eeeeep!

The Celine Boston Bag. The term 'there's no such thing as perfect' was certainly thrown out the window when this was created! Sophistication. Fashion. Simplicity (I could go on forever really!) just all manner of amazing-ness! but this bag is the ultimate arm candy for me! One day I will call one of these my own :) but for now a girl can dream..

I am loving this baroque embossed clutch and the silver rings. Not sure who it's by but its gorgeous and would be the perfect statement piece to an outfit of a pair of classic wide leg white silk pants with a high neck white sIeeveless tank! stumbled across this image from a great little fashion/fitness account I'm following on Instagram 'stylxx' she has some amazing photos so be sure to check out her account!

WINTER INSPIRATION: BLACK



What better way to kick of with a little fashion and outfit inspiration. Coming into autumn/winter there is nothing I love more than BLACK! Always a winner in my books, you cannot go wrong with an all black outfit. Whether it's sexy-chic, sophisticated-glamour, or even a casual-with-an-edge look, you can almost never go wrong! Black is always a staple in my winter wardrobe..

Another winter FAVOURITE of mine.. pairing leather with jersey or chunky oversized knits! Whether it's leather skirts or pants teamed with jersey slouched tops, or layered with cropped and oversized knits, I love combining textures for a bold (and warm!) winter look, team with a killer pair of pointed stilettos, or leather boots and and you're good to go!
